Wild Greens Foraging and Pizza Lunch With Rachel West. ***Special Saturday Event***
When: 1-3pm, Saturday, November 7.
Where: Millsap Farm, 6593 North Emu Lane, Springfield MO 65803
We'll gather on the farm to walk the fields with Rachel West, local wild edibles expert, identifying and harvesting "weeds" from our fields and forests, and then create pizzas with wild oyster mushrooms, smoked wild greens, and freshly saute'd greens from our walk. This unique learning event is a fundraiser for The Millsap Girls' Yearly Thanksgiving Basket Project. Feel free to bring your own beverage of choice, and dress to be comfortable in the weather; this is a strictly outside event, tramping thought the fields and woods. Come learn more about our amazing bioregion, through the eyes of one if it's most talented and knowledgable advocates. Space is very limited, due to the nature of the event, and COVID guidelines. Pay at the farm on check-in, but you must sign up for a reservation.
